Building Construction Update: December 1, 2016
As of the first week in December, the entire project is still approximately 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule. Completion date is still going to be scheduled for December 2017.
Bearing block has been completed on the entire east wing, in addition to the administrative offices, media center, music suite, auditeria and main lobby areas of the structure. The west wing first-floor bearing block is completed with second-floor concrete being poured. Bearing block on the second floor is in the beginning stages on that east wing.
The Agricultural Science classroom and labs’ bearing block is now being set, as well.
Installation of ductwork and pipe insulation, door frames and roof blocking are ongoing. Temporary enclosures are being completed to allow for temporary heating of the structure.
Stair installation has also begun in the main lobby and the east wing. Sprinkler rough in is continuing as well.
Metal stud walls are continuing in the administrative areas.
Continued visual observations can be made by viewing the building project webcam located under the “Building Project” tab on the home page of the district website.
